Climate Action Campaign is working closely the staff, City Council, and stakeholders of La Mesa, including SanDiego350, to ensure the city adopts a Climate Action Plan (CAP) that will protect future generations of La Mesans from the threats of climate change and is on solid legal ground. This new plan will update a prior (unadopted) 2015 draft CAP that was legally insufficient, as did not plan beyond 2020 and nor did it include measurable, enforceable strategies.
La Mesa now promises bring the CAP to a vote by the end of 2017 (after previously promising end of 2016).
Timeline: Check out La Mesa’s current CAP timeline here.
