BRENDA GARCIA MILLAN
RESEARCH AND POLICY ANALYST
Brenda Garcia Millan is a Global Studies graduate with a Master’s degree from the University of Oregon. In addition to her work at Climate Action Campaign, Brenda serves as a Project Officer at the Sustainable Development Solutions Network- Youth, a global initiative that advances the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) worldwide.
Before joining Climate Action Campaign, Brenda interned at the United States Senate and worked with Senator Jeff Merkley’s climate policy team. Her exposure to legislation sparked her interest in policy analysis. In 2018, Brenda was awarded a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award to Spain, where she coordinated a high school Model United Nations and introduced students to the SDGs.
As a Research and Policy Analyst at CAC, Brenda is excited to find innovative solutions to the climate crisis in San Diego. She is passionate about using quantitative and qualitative data to advance effective and equitable policymaking.
Brenda grew up in Mexico and she attended San Ysidro High School. She graduated in 2014 with a B.A. in International Security and a French minor from San Diego State University.
