MADISON COLEMAN

POLICY ADVOCATE

Madison Coleman’s passion for building a more inclusive and just society is expressed through her 4 years of implementing mobilization, networking, and advocacy strategies. Her experience is in non-profit and political office campaigns that influence and pass legislation. She is particularly interested in advocating for climate, educational, mental health, and social justice issues that significantly impact underrepresented communities.

Madison has a B.A. in Political Science from UC Davis. During her time at UC Davis, she was the Legislative Representative for the California Public Interest Research Group (CALPIRG), an organization that runs local and statewide campaigns to advocate for social and environmental issues affecting college students.

Prior to joining Climate Action Campaign, Madison advocated for making global poverty and hunger legislation a top priority of U.S. foreign policy with the Borgen Project. As a native of Northern California, she interned for Oakland City Councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney and California Assembly member Rob Bonta.

Madison is currently a policy committee member of the San Francisco Women’s Political Committee (SFWPC) and a policy advocacy volunteer for California YIMBY.
