Our Impact
We’re setting the national standard for accountability. Every year, we release a report card that grades SoCal cities on their climate action progress.
Since the 2017 release of our inaugural report card, the number of San Diego cities with a CAP has increased by 44%. We’re now bringing that same pressure to Orange County. When leaders missed their targets, we didn’t just speak up – we took them to court. Our landmark legal victory forced the city of San Diego to ensure public disclosure and mandatory plan amendments, proving that climate plans are a requirement.
Climate Action Plans
You deserve leaders who actually deliver on their promises to protect you from heat waves, wildfires, and floods.
Climate plans are only as good as their results. While many cities make ambitious promises, all too often, there is little to no follow-through.
That’s where we come in.
Through our annual Climate Action Plan Report Cards, we grade local leaders on their real-world progress, identifying exactly where they are succeeding and where they are failing our communities.
