ELIZABETH M. BARRERAS, MD

PHAC MEMBER

Elizabeth is a senior emergency medicine resident physician at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. Her interest in climate change started before her career in medicine while working in Ghana and seeing the devastating effects of changing weather on subsistence farming in rural areas. Now as a physician she sees the concerning increase in climate-related illness everyday and hopes to make a meaningful impact on climate-related public policy through advocacy and public health outreach to improve the outlook for our future.
