2025 Letter from the CEO

Thank you. Because of your support, Climate Action Campaign celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2025.

CAC’s impact in the past decade is even greater than I imagined when we began. Over the years, I’ve often joked that I was winging it, but, truthfully, I was never doing this alone. Every time I felt uncertain, you showed up and moved the work forward.

It’s no exaggeration to say that every single one of you played a meaningful role in CAC’s success in 2025 and beyond. 

This year, we brought our work to Sacramento for the first time. As California families struggled to make ends meet, skyrocketing energy bills reached a breaking point.

By mobilizing our community and urging local leaders to pass resolutions, we helped win groundbreaking state legislation to reduce energy bills. Paired with our victories securing local clean air protections and electrification commitments from school districts, 2025 marked a major year for policies that protect the health and well-being of our communities.

Climate Action Campaign has shown up everywhere this fight happens—in the streets, at city halls, and in Sacramento—advocating for clean air, healthy schools, and affordable energy.

Our work proves that when communities organize, even the most entrenched systems can change.

Looking ahead, our work in 2026 will amplify what we’ve already accomplished: challenging the status quo, lowering energy bills, cleaning our air, and protecting our communities.
