Getting Ready to “Gather” - Planning Climate Action Campaign’s Fall Event, Gather 2021!

I’ve worked in nonprofit fundraising for most of my career and I can say, without a doubt, that planning an event has never been more challenging. But, luckily, CAC has a great team and San Diego has a lot of beautiful outdoor venues!

For our upcoming event, celebrating six years of CAC, we planned for an outdoor event with limited capacity to address the safety concerns. We even had to calculate how much square footage we would need to accommodate 100 people with social distancing in place!

CAC's Events Manager, Taylor, and I have been scoping out the best venues, the yummiest foods, and fun opportunity drawing prizes for the last few months. Taylor has helped plan numerous Climate Action Campaign events, as well as weddings in San Diego, and I’ve planned galas and conferences. Together, putting together an exciting event for climate warriors to celebrate, raise funds, and look toward the future we are building together.

The patio garden at FruitCraft Fermentery and Distillery in Hillcrest is beautiful and the food will be delicious (we’re pretty excited for the donut wall! 😋)

We are excited about this fun, safe, and celebratory event for Climate Action Campaign. Our community has so much to celebrate and we hope this event can help inspire us for the work to come: winning an equitable, zero-carbon future through effective policy action. We can’t wait to celebrate with you—don't forget to RSVP here!
