ANTHONY AGAMA

ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND ORGANIZING COORDINATOR

Anthony Agama holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is dedicated to advancing equitable clean energy access and clean air for Orange County residents.


While at UCSB, Anthony was passionate about grassroots organizing. He served as Chief of Staff for the External Vice President of State Affairs (EVPSA), where he led the campaign for UC divestment from the Thirty Meter Telescope in Mauna Kea. He also co-founded the UCSB Coalition for Opportunity for All to advocate for undocumented students' right to work, underscoring his commitment to community and direct action.


Anthony also has a deep understanding of economics and finance to his advocacy. As a former Loan Officer for PennyMac, he gained expertise that informs his ability to navigate justice and policy initiatives while accounting for economic impacts and data. This expertise was further applied as a Budget and Finance Policy Fellow for Supervisor Katrina Foley, where he successfully learned about integrating justice initiatives with financial transparency and data analysis to advocate for critical public services.

As a lifelong Orange County resident, Anthony is a part of the local community. His local organizing roots run deep: he is the founder of Latinos Unidos, the first ethnic club established in the Newport-Mesa Unified School District, which remains active nine years later and is a SOY Alumni.


Anthony remains actively engaged in the community exploring the diverse culinary landscape of OC, enjoying everything from seeking out new dim sum spots to visiting the Hello Kitty Cafe indulging his passion for collecting Sanrio characters.
