Serena is a systems-thinker who brings a wide range of experience working with nonprofits, community organizations, and local government to the role of Policy Advocate. She has engaged in work focused on peacebuilding, immigration, and climate action planning and is dedicated to community-focused and equity-based sustainable action.
Prior to joining Climate Action Campaign, Serena provided environmental consulting services across the region as an Environmental Solutions Lead for Solana Center, and served as a CivicSpark Climate Fellow at the City of Del Mar focused on climate action plan implementation. She is passionate about helping foster connections that bring people closer to each other and the Earth.
Growing up in Ontario, Canada, Serena earned a Bachelor of Arts, Honours degree in Environmental Governance from the University of Guelph and graduated with a Master of Development Practice focused on sustainable development from the University of Waterloo.
